[Like most of the time, these days, the officer of the Special Investigations department is trying to keep his and Niyo's fledgling crew above water - there's a large stack of paperwork on his deck, alongside some discarded machinery - idle distractions, to keep his mind sharp on what he has to do. There's schematics on the wall, scribbled over numerous times. The paperwork is sorted into a few piles -a good size of them contract negotiations with the police, and business filings that have yet to be fully filled out and process.


However, today, unlike others, he's at least mildly expecting company, so some of the more... personal documents have been tucked away. At this point, it's a matter of waiting to see that they show.]

Given a jumpstart of energy, the Ame-no-Nuhoko got us into the Warp, but with no way to determine where we landed - and dumped right into the hands of a demon, we nearly escaped with our lives.

...And, frankly speaking, we just don't have the resources to devote to Anti-Hope right now, on either side.

Well, to be honest, we weren't expecting resources from you. Sneaking around and trying to find the parts is something that's better left to one or two people, anyway, especially with so many demons crawling around.

And then a Star-Armored, Fire-Winged, Huge-Breasted woman quite literally falls through it, groaning as she hits the ground. Five big moving boxes float through the portal before dropping to the floor all around the Nebula Overmind Archfiend, and a fire extinguisher floats up and puts the portal out, somehow. The mechanics of psychic fire are weird.]

ONNI OH MY GOD if we need any more stuff than this YOU'RE packing and carrying it with YOUR brain ughhhh my lobes are so sore it's ridiculous.

[She drags herself to an upright sitting position and blinks at the unfamiliar faces.]

The Mental Sphere is less on fire than I expected, to be honest. That Rei Ryghts girl might be a decent Daemon now that she isn't full of crazy. She's trying to enact some weird anti-bdsm laws though, ugh.

She's, uh. A Psychic. No, literally speaking. She ruled the Mental Sphere for a time, and everything. She just came back into town like... what, two weeks? three weeks ago?

[Jean lets out a sigh of relief as Aegis confesses that they aren't human.]

Oh thank god, I was going to be really annoyed if I just got a power-up and humans had strong enough psychic defenses I couldn't get through them for something as basic as a name.

... and yeah, pretty much what Onni said for how I noticed you aren't human. Pretty good otherwise though!

Ohhh... Well, if you wanted names, it would've been nice to ask.

[She just stares blankly at Aegis for a moment. You can practically hear her thinking 'People do that?????' but you can't actually because your weird alien brains are hard to telepathy at. She remembers manners just in time to reply.]

Well, like Onni said, my name is Jean. If we wanna get long and titley, I'm Jeanette Dianne Grave, former Mental Sphere Daemon and Overmind Archfiend, current Nebula Overmind Archfiend.

It's nice to meet both of you, I hope I can help you with whatever you're here for.

[She blinks, and turns to Onni.]

What are they here for? Duel Spirits trying to fit in on Earth? Looking for a lost relative, helping us find a criminal? That's Cop Stuff, right?

Sort of.

Long story short, their world is fucked, they're being hunted by a bunch of other shitlords neither of us like, and we're trying to help them because it's one; the right thing to do, and two; relates to all the numbers junk we've been dealing with for like. Years.

So now we're exchanging contact information so that when we figure out how that magical spear that nearly killed me works we can use it to maybe helpfully save their home and their people?

I've got a corkboard all set up, I can give you the run down later. There's a bunch of other shit, too.
