I think I can finally start posting to here again. We're still quite a bit ways from the happy ending, but. Well. It seems like a lot of the political types are accepting that even if they want to maneuver around us, they don't know even a tenth of what Juudai and I know about this supernatural stuff, which means we're given quite a fair bit of leverage. For now, anyway.

Now if only that didn't mean mountains of paperwork. Between this and finalization on the building OOPARTS will be in, I've hardly had a moment to myself. Luckily, it's... starting to cool down.

The circumstances of which this occurred happened in the midst of the Barian Island media blackout. But Alex is currently an extremely high-level threat, planning on attacking and, if possible, killing the Astrals.

It sorta spins things to a new light, doesn't it. There's folks who get revived through strange means other than just, well.

Just... This sounds screwed up, but it wouldn't feel right if I went ahead and tried to kill her again for it. It sounds like this is a choice she made, isn't it?

It does.

I just note what is done in the past and it usually works. You're the emissary of the Dragon Star That Burns Crimson, you ultimately decide. I am the blade that lets you fight.

But the best case is always to kill them from my personal experience.

If you think there's a better way, do it. But by not killing them, both Grant and Futaba have become much larger entities than they should be and that can lead to its own set of problems.

Magic finds magic.

Magic, magic, magic. Magic is nonsense, to me. There's always an explanation and a source for it, even if it causes "amazing" things.

I could always go for the Dark Game route-- try to disable her, cut off whatever kooky thing she's doing, but that can really easily backlash if I'm not confident about it.

And the sad fact is, I know she's very competent, even if I've never faced her myself before.

In other words, we've failed to train you up, sufficiently, so we're staying out of this one.

Yeah. Under any other circumstance, I'd have probably seen if Sadame could help, since he's got the time control thing-- pretty useful in a pinch. But he got drained from that incident too. Something about demons trying to eat an airship.

The term "Demon" for those things feels like a misnomer.

I think that's just the "common" word that was decided on since it's the easiest thing to get across.
