Today, I am pleased to announce a much-needed expansion to the Domino Police Special Investigations project.
Several months prior to the WRGP fiasco, there were a series of incidents involving mysterious figures on D-Wheels attacking people. As many might be aware, the assailant was eventually caught, only to be revealed to be a hijacked prototype of a police-force prototype, the "Riding Roid".
Today, the Special Investigations Department is pleased to announce that we have worked with the main Domino Police branch to acquire the remains of the prototype and the project specs. We have given it a complete overhaul to bring you our latest assistant in hunting down special cases.
I bring you the first batch of the Twelve Peers Law Enforcement Android Series.
[There's a picture here, of what looks like a humanoid machine, with a reinforced police outfit with what looks like layered metal plating on the shoulders, forearms, chest, and legs.]
In themselves new prototypes based off the Riding Roid, these new models are made to be able to quickly identify supernatural threats and defend the common public against them. Their primary duty is to allow us to respond to threats far faster than we ever could on our own, but they also have the ability to pursue fleeing suspects, duel, and make arrests in the absence of any other Special Investigations officers.
Our prototypes for this series will be hitting the streets over the weekend, and we will be rolling out more models to allow for an better coverage of the Domino area over the course of this year.
...And now that the formalities are out of the way, sorry I've been so quiet, everyone. Life catches up with you, after a while.

But ignore me, I'm just a whiny teenager.

...We actually -do- have the Electro-Rail Deployment Cannon mostly completed. I'm just finalizing the boots that allow us to use it without, y'know, slamming into walls.. Split second control mechanisms are finnicky.

I'm sure you'll find someone.

Plus, they're connected to the Special Investigations office, so, should any one in particular go haywire, we know where it is and we an usually shut it down very quickly.

But for all the crap Seiya gives me, she's been one hell of a workhorse when it comes to getting the Twelve Peers off the ground. We've done testing and testing, and I don't think there's anything catastrophic in their programming that could trip. Even if there is, Seiya and I know how to break these things as well as we made them.

And what's stopping them being hijacked again?

Seiya and I worked day and night on the new software they run on, which includes their new self-security suites. The only way we can even interface with them remotely is a terminal in the department that's isolated from any other network, internal or external. The only way to pull a mass-hijack like we saw with the Riding Roids at the WRGP would be someone physically infiltrating SpecInv, and with the way that individual units report in and defer to the terminal, seeing one individual hijacked will be easy to spot.

I guess I'll let you know if they cause an issue for anybody on my end of things.

But yeah, please do. If they cause any issues, I want them dragged back into the station and worked over.
