When I talked to Ancient Fairy a few days back, I commented about how sporadic the Dark Mist incidents are, she mentioned that it's strange, and suggested someone might be controlling Dark Mist - someone who'd have to be very powerful. The last time anyone saw Ancient Fairy for a couple months after her Dark Mist episode was when she was being collected by a man in a pink shirt, by Shian's own accounts. We think she's probably covering for Erland, who has connections to or is outright controlling Dark Mist, and setting herself up as a scapegoat and the primary problem for the 12 Dimensions to focus on, while deflecting responsibility off us for letting it run amok.
Of course, that raises a bunch more questions, like "why would Erland get involved", "wouldn't she know we'd figure that out", and a host of others, but that's what the evidence is leading us to right now.
