Shinoko Eusebius is to be put on the Persons of Interest list of the Number 96 Case, effective immediately. Any files regardng Dark Mist she has access to are to be left alone, but all updated documents are to be inaccessible and invisible to her.

Yes, this is about as bad as you think it is. This is the closest thing to a red alert this team gets.

Shinoko's involved with Dark Mist, I don't know how, and I don't know why, but she said she sold her soul to it for more power. That she refused help because it would have made her weak...

Basically put, she's entangled in it somehow and can't be trusted.

It is, but.... she's goading us, egging us on. She wants to go down as a villain so that we all stay heroes, and said us much.

Call it a gut feeling, but it doesn't add up. There's something we're missing here.

The question is how did Dark Mist infect the Dragon months ago.

I think we're missing a trail. That question has never been resolved. How did Ancient Fairy Dragon get infected.

...That's an excellent question. I should have asked Ancient Fairy herself when I talked to her a few days back. Granted, given her memory of incidents while she was infected is spotty at best, I'm not sure asking her would get us anywhere.

So I guess the real question is... who would have had the ability to infect Ancient Fairy with Dark Mist?

... Who ended up dealing with Ancient Fairy Dragon after she was defeated. There's a record of her vanishing and reappearing for about a few months. I believe Samasu, Shian ended up defeating her if our records are in order, but... she went missing.

I think Shinoko Eusebius is trying to protect or hide someone.

Speaking on another though, there is the problem of the Supreme Magistrate Judgeman.

Dark Mist is a very VERY sore subject with Supreme Justice Judgeman

Yeah, given that our world is kinda being threatened of being scorched if we don't figure it out, I'd figure as much.

Why the hell is Judgeman so uppity about it, aside from the obvious threat. It's not like Earth hasn't been ground zero for stuff that could have wiped out the 12 Dimensions before.

No one knows. Just his Honor is very very sore about it. I think if he could of, he would of just executed 96.

What exactly is going on with Shinoko and how much do you know?

Ruka just came to me worked up about a conversation she had with her on her latest entry. Seems like she's aiming to do "something terrible" and is pushing us all away.
She told Ruka at the end to tell me Dark Mist was controlling her but Ruka believes this isn't the case by the way she addressed it to her, and that it was just a ruse to make her and I feel less bad about whatever it is she's going to do.
Or to make us hate her, which she seemed to be aiming for.

In the meantime, any new information on Dark Mist that the Foundation gets will be put under a password lock on the Foundation's computer's.

That's what she told me. She said she plans to go down as the villain so we can stay heroes, and to ignore her, let her take the blame, and live a happy life, lest we all be executed. Still, something's off. There's some sort of falsehood there, I'm just not sure what. But she's trying to goad us into hating her, that's for sure.

I've got SpecInv doing the same thing, anything new we learn is being put in a separate database only a select few will have access to.

So what do we do now? How do we find someone who obviously doesn't want us to find her and involve ourselves with her?

Though... ugh, apparently Niyo and I have been spitballing some stuff, I don't think necessarily that Shinoko is the cause, but... well...

I don't think you're gonna like what we've got as a theory. And this is top level stuff, I'd suggest putting it behind the strictest info security you got at the Foundation.

When I talked to Ancient Fairy a few days back, I commented about how sporadic the Dark Mist incidents are, she mentioned that it's strange, and suggested someone might be controlling Dark Mist - someone who'd have to be very powerful. The last time anyone saw Ancient Fairy for a couple months after her Dark Mist episode was when she was being collected by a man in a pink shirt, by Shian's own accounts. Given that Shinoko's obviously trying to hide or protect something...

We think she's probably covering for Erland, who has connections to or is outright controlling Dark Mist, and setting herself up as a scapegoat and the primary problem for the 12 Dimensions to focus on, while deflecting responsibility off us for letting it run amok.

Of course, that raises a bunch more questions, like "why would Erland get involved", "wouldn't she know we'd figure that out", and a host of others, but that's what the evidence is leading us to right now.

Probably the one person I really wouldn't want involved in this.

But Shinoko trying to be the scapegoat for something definitely sounds right, considering how she's acting.

So... what do we do now? Find Shinoko? Question Erland?
