Shinoko Eusebius is to be put on the Persons of Interest list of the Number 96 Case, effective immediately. Any files regardng Dark Mist she has access to are to be left alone, but all updated documents are to be inaccessible and invisible to her.

Yes, this is about as bad as you think it is. This is the closest thing to a red alert this team gets.

What's going on.

Shinoko's involved with Dark Mist, I don't know how, and I don't know why, but she said she sold her soul to it for more power. That she refused help because it would have made her weak...

Basically put, she's entangled in it somehow and can't be trusted.

Isn't that basically a confession for an arrest?

It is, but.... she's goading us, egging us on. She wants to go down as a villain so that we all stay heroes, and said us much.

Call it a gut feeling, but it doesn't add up. There's something we're missing here.

The question is how did Dark Mist infect the Dragon months ago.

I think we're missing a trail. That question has never been resolved. How did Ancient Fairy Dragon get infected.

...That's an excellent question. I should have asked Ancient Fairy herself when I talked to her a few days back. Granted, given her memory of incidents while she was infected is spotty at best, I'm not sure asking her would get us anywhere.

So I guess the real question is... who would have had the ability to infect Ancient Fairy with Dark Mist?

... Who ended up dealing with Ancient Fairy Dragon after she was defeated. There's a record of her vanishing and reappearing for about a few months. I believe Samasu, Shian ended up defeating her if our records are in order, but... she went missing.

I think Shinoko Eusebius is trying to protect or hide someone.

I just went back and checked through Shian's logs of the incident.

And all I can think is "oh fuck".

Ancient Fairy, after the incident, was collected by "some guy in a pink shirt."

When I talked with Ancient Fairy Dragon a few days prior, we came to a conclusion that the rarity of incidents involving Dark Mist of recent meant that someone had to be keeping it on a tight leash, and that such a list of people who could was very, very short.

Add to that the fact that Shinoko's behavior strongly suggests trying to protect something or someone...

That's not enough to start a manhunt, but that's more than enough to be concerned. If we were to try and say anything, it'd be circumstantial at best. Still. As loathe as I am to say this, given the target on our back this paints...

I think we need to operate on the assumption that Erland Eusebius is a primary suspect.

Since when would he be backing a massive crime spree.

...I don't know. I've never trusted Erland, but you're right in that he's always seemed the type to keep his hands out of stuff like this.

Either isolation in his own little world has made him lose his marbles or there's another facet to this we don't know about.

I know the man.

It's the "face we don't know about", and we have a hanging and burning Judge. Shinoko seems very informed on Duel Spirits, probably due to her own research and Ancient Fairy.

I think I know what's going on.

Speaking on another though, there is the problem of the Supreme Magistrate Judgeman.

Dark Mist is a very VERY sore subject with Supreme Justice Judgeman

Yeah, given that our world is kinda being threatened of being scorched if we don't figure it out, I'd figure as much.

Why the hell is Judgeman so uppity about it, aside from the obvious threat. It's not like Earth hasn't been ground zero for stuff that could have wiped out the 12 Dimensions before.

No one knows. Just his Honor is very very sore about it. I think if he could of, he would of just executed 96.

No one knows. The court cases on the Numbers are not for public view.

...We need to find a way to access those court cases, I think. There's too much about Dark Mist we don't know that's probably wrapped up in those files.

You can't. He's got the case files sealed. And likely won't unseal them.

We need to see them if we're going to wrap this case up, though. Sealing away knowledge that would allow us to maybe get an edge on Dark Mist is no help at all.

There's gotta be some strings we can pull or some way we can get at the sealed files.

No one, except Judgeman himself, can unseal the files.

So we'd either need to get him to approve it.

Or get a judge to replace him, which is unlikely.

...Which means I need to make an audience with Judgeman.
