I'm back in town. Not for... very long, I've got a lot of work to do, but I can stop by and make the rounds before I do anything too nuts.

That's probably something we should look into, a more stable gating system.

I had a prototype of some gate stabilization tech in the lab somewhere, but it's been ages since I've touched it, I'd have to start on something like that from scratch.

Yeah, the fact we're relying on rifts and wild gates at all is kind of an embarrassment at this point.

It is, truthfully, but there's not a whole lot we can do about it outside of catching one and making it stable.

Well, I know that the major kingdoms that have realms to multiple worlds have stable gateways, so. Yeah.

Give me a month without a major crisis and I'll try and draft up a prototype. I can't guarantee it'll be pretty, but you know how my tech tends to work.

We may need to expand to a new building, though, at this rate... Power consumption on that thing's not gonna be pretty, and we're practically maxing out grid footprint and space in the office as-is between the Twelve Peers, the D.D. Cell, and all the other projects we've got going.

You'd have to probably make us a private venture at that point.

Best choice for that might be Noriko. She'd have the capital for that. We'd probably be under her Black Velvet label.

I'd have to talk with the others about it... are you sure you wanna go that route? I'm not doing this without you on board.

Only if you wanted to, I can't see us scaling up for things like this, we'd have to get work done to make us a government authorized security firm though, that works as a semi-independent government contractor under a third party business.

We're at the limit of what we can do as part of the police force. Like you said, if we want to scale up further, we have to go private.
