You should be well aware by now that if I'm confused about something, it's because things shifted to the left and I was, once again, left unaffected.

These things never affect me. Besides, a metal pipe would more likely bend before actually harming me.

Well, she's a family friend, even if she's gaudy as shit. She's friends with me, Noriko, Shiroko and Shiyoko, Evelyn, and Yamimaru.

At least I understand subtlety, unlike Noriko.

And I'll believe that, but I'm pretty much having to play catch-up, here.

She's a member of the financial-business clique that composes of Shiroko and Shiyoko's family, who have more money than sense, Noriko's collection of companies under BV, Tokei Realty and Investments, Jinn and Kouji's family, and Amahara Heavy Industries and Construction, the firm heading the GDA's conversion into a 22nd Century Mega-City.

I keep being asked to be a member of the clique but Mom and Dad want me to quit BV before taking up their grocery business, and I'm just not feeling it?
