This is your friendly reminder that harmful supernatural activity has been on the rise as of late. Special Investigations is doing all it can to track down the source of these issues and resolve them. If you see anything amiss, do not hesitate to contact me, Niyo, or, in an emergency, flag down a Twelve Peers Supernatural Patrol Unit. They're there to let us know when shit goes down. Thank you.

[Private to SAI and other Investigative Types]

Adam and I are back from our chat with Mobius. The short version is that Mobius is willing to back us in a "Vote of No Confidence" that'll stop Judgeman in his tracks if we can find hard evidence of Judgeman's shady behavior, but the Numeral Hunter's 'existence' here isn't that. But he's definitely hiding something. Something that, if Mobius' clues are anything to go off of, connected to the Number Hunter.

There's been two squads. There's the current Number Hunter that's here on Earth, and an 'original' squad that apparently ended very, very badly. I don't know the details.

...There's also a noun he mentioned. Ettosyleit. It's not any language I recognize. Maybe someone else will? It seems like something that connects to all of this, it's the only hint Mobius could give us.

Also, there's a possibility that 'Amy', aka the Bujinki Amaterasu currently residing at the hotel, is involved. He referenced the Amenonuhoko and Takama-Ga-Hara, and the fact that Amaterasu's existence is 'myth', which is shorthand for "we've tried to bury it". As far as why... I don't know.

Additionally, there is a chance that Dark Mist isn't dead, but as to why, we aren't... entirely sure. Though its connection to Yuma's number seems all the more pronounced, now.

And we still don't exactly know how the Rank-Up-Magics fit in all of this, either.

We've got some leads to go on... but we've got more questions than answers, too.
Everyone's alright. I think Jouji dabbled in too much dark magic and wasn't used to the strain. The spell backfired.

...Though... I guess what happens when a Number loses by forfeit...? That seems, very risky to deal with.
Ugh, here I thought we were done with them...

Oh right, also. Euphie, Amy, Akuma if your drop by, there's a huge-ass hole in the penthouse wall. So if you feel a draft the next couple days, that's what that is.
ASK QUESTIONS GET RESULTS.

Active/Semi-Active Characters:

Haita(yuu) Onni(fuji)
The Being Known Only As 'Monica'

You can ask about characters I -have- played before but there's no guarantee I actually remember them, my memory holds water like a pasta strainer.
You ever just have one of those days where everything hits you all at once?

Sometimes I feel like life does that to me all the time.

[Filtered to SpecInv and Affiliates]

Shinoko Eusebius is to be put on the Persons of Interest list of the Number 96 Case, effective immediately. Any files regardng Dark Mist she has access to are to be left alone, but all updated documents are to be inaccessible and invisible to her.

Yes, this is about as bad as you think it is. This is the closest thing to a red alert this team gets.

[ General Eventan ]

[ If you frequent by the park, SpecInv offices, or the hotel, either the Penthouse or even just the lobby, you can find an Onni slumped against a chair or a bench of some sort. He looks wiped, on several levels. None of them physical. Do you engage? ]
Why is Noriko making everyone I'm involved with go back to high school.

This is an alarming trend.

Guess I should at least keep an eye on the academy in the forseeable future. Also maybe pick out some clothes juuust in case. Can't be too careful.
...So, apparently, instead of suing me for the RIDE System prototypes, Toei has decided to look at my life and go 'hey, that would make a neat series'.

I'm not sure whether to be flattered or embarrassed.
Today, I am pleased to announce a much-needed expansion to the Domino Police Special Investigations project.

Several months prior to the WRGP fiasco, there were a series of incidents involving mysterious figures on D-Wheels attacking people. As many might be aware, the assailant was eventually caught, only to be revealed to be a hijacked prototype of a police-force prototype, the "Riding Roid".

Today, the Special Investigations Department is pleased to announce that we have worked with the main Domino Police branch to acquire the remains of the prototype and the project specs. We have given it a complete overhaul to bring you our latest assistant in hunting down special cases.

I bring you the first batch of the Twelve Peers Law Enforcement Android Series.

[There's a picture here, of what looks like a humanoid machine, with a reinforced police outfit with what looks like layered metal plating on the shoulders, forearms, chest, and legs.]

In themselves new prototypes based off the Riding Roid, these new models are made to be able to quickly identify supernatural threats and defend the common public against them. Their primary duty is to allow us to respond to threats far faster than we ever could on our own, but they also have the ability to pursue fleeing suspects, duel, and make arrests in the absence of any other Special Investigations officers.

Our prototypes for this series will be hitting the streets over the weekend, and we will be rolling out more models to allow for an better coverage of the Domino area over the course of this year.

...And now that the formalities are out of the way, sorry I've been so quiet, everyone. Life catches up with you, after a while.
So.

I think I just became Earth's ambassador to an inter-dimensional incident.

Unreleated, but Setsu, your Dad is a pretty cool guy, for a king of a hyper-militant police state.

Oh right also I apprehended Moeko, so there's that.
Right, well. I guess that solves that mystery. Sort of.

The one night I don't work... Just my luck.
...I wonder if I should switch back to the Six Samurai. I feel like it's been long enough. I should revisit them finally. I can always find a way to synergize Gigantech into the deck.

It might be nice to return to my pseudo-roots, as they are.
Well, that... I guess, worked out. Always good to bust a cult.

Noriko, can you tell me more about your Black Velvet thing? It might be relevant to the current case, and I'm not caught up on it.

Also, we got another Dark Mist sighting, it seems. Things are never easy.
Hey, uh, I know this is a little odd, but. I was going through some records for the Numbers Case and...

I'm not seeing a 'Number 96' anywhere.

Does someone know who it ended up with? If you do, let me know so I can know it's safe and sound.
Another day, another crazy adventure.

[Private to Jinn]

Check your potential employers. They should be fine now. We caught the kid who was doing it.

We've got a bit of a bigger problem, though...
And, with that, the case of the Cosmo Queen is wrapped up. Already told the department we'd need a new street light and they'll need to patch a hole or three in the theater roof. They were kind of impressed at the lack of collateral damage. Not sure if that's good or bad.

...Oh, and I guess I need to plan a wedding soon, so there's that!

Hoo boy, what a night.
Well, I suppose that's been squared away, then.

For anyone trying to contact Special Investigations about reports and attacks, I've become the Captain of the whole branch. If you need SpecInv's attention, feel free to contact me directly.

Got a whole lot more work to do, too...

[Private to Seiya and Shinoko]

Hey, were you two still thinking of signing up for SpecInv?
So, hey, if you haven't heard. Attacks have been stepping up again in Domino. The Special Investigations department is trying to mitigate them as best we can, but for personal safety, try not to wander out alone in the evenings, and if you absolutely must, make sure you have a way to get to safety or to defend yourself.

In addition, anyone who has witnessed or been targeted by an attack is encouraged to step forward with any information they may recall. Every little bit helps.

[Private to Niyo]

We're going to have to speed track my little project for a test run, and soon. I can't catch this new threat with Gigantech power. Too slow.

[Private to Onee/Akuma]

Got a sneaking suspicion you two might be involved in an attack soon, be on your guard.
[So, you're on what appears to be a giant chessboard. All the pieces are there, but they seem to be faceless. Or at the very least, they may have a face you recognize for a split second, before being obscured.

Something else is clearly wrong. There seems to be more sides to this chessboard. One for every side of the square, though it stretches onward, farther than you'd expect.

You can move freely across the squares, but as you do, you might notice a Knight-like piece in the middle of the board. Disheveled hair and wearing dark leather armor, carrying a two-handed blade. You probably recognize this oaf, as he stands very strictly, very rigidly in place.

Dare you approach?
]
So, hey. Kind of curious here. Anyone else been having weird dreams, or has it just been me? I'm wondering whether I should be mildly concerned about how odd they've gotten or not.

[Private to Onee]

Yo, mind if I talk to you for a moment?
[You seem to have come across a castle. Though it looks medieval in origin, there are parts that don't seem quite right. It seems smoother, made with materials that shine better in the mid-afternoon light, and generally seems to be a twinge more advanced than you'd expect a medieval castle to be.

The gate has been lowered. You can cross the moat and head inside. There isn't anything else for miles around... do you advance?
]
On the bright side, that's the quickest turnover of a clue I've ever seen.

On the other hand... uh. We have a problem. Like. Grade A, Capital P 'Problem'.

Ow. That was not one of my greatest ideas. Not even top five.

...Maybe top ten.
